He attended Lord Byng high school&nbsp;and went on to UBC where he graduated with a B.Sc. Dairy Science. He started his&nbsp;career with Arctic Dairy which then became Dairyland. Grant was the plant <br /> manager for most of his tenure and was instrumental in designing and building<br />the Dairyland plant on Louheed Hwy in Burnaby. He loved his job and retired&nbsp;after 39 years at the age of 60.&nbsp;<br /> Grant led a full and active life. He played rugby for the&nbsp;Vancouver Rowing Club and then the Evergreen's over 40 Club where he was&nbsp; President for many years and organized several international tournaments. He<br />loved to play tennis and squash at the Arbutus Club and was one of the original<br />&nbsp;members. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and golf. Grant served in the<br />militia with the B.C. Regiment and was Lt. Colonel and Commanding Officer in&nbsp;the early 70's. Grant spent most of his life with his family living in&nbsp;Kerrisdale on Cypress St. where he had many friends and&nbsp;neighbours.&nbsp;<br /><span></span><br /> There will be a celebration of Grant's life on Wed. Bruce was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and moved to Vancouver at  the age of eight years. He attended King George High School and Vancouver  Tech. Bruce enjoyed coaching hockey and ball hockey and playing&nbsp;Rugby with the Meralomas, Twilighters and Evergreens Rugby Clubs. Both a young competitive side and a Masters  side. Now we would likely play on the Thursday, 23rd against  Rich&rsquo;s Old Boys team and I will look to organise a young buck&rsquo;s game  against maybe the Rowers, depending on come aspirations etc. at that  time of the year.
