evergreen rfc update november

Dear Evergreens,

The first few months of the 2025/26 Cascadia Masters Season have been busy ones. 

​We started with the Ice Breaker Tournament at the SOB's in September (we were undefeated but came second to the Twits due to a loss in the boat race), took a roadtrip to Cowichan (for the first time in many years), hosted the Denver Highlanders over a memorable weekend then did a 5 day tour of Toronto and Montreal enjoying the hospitality both on and off the field.

Some important dates coming up:

• Sunday November 16 - Grey Cup at the clubhouse. Run at 1.00 followed by food and drinks (I've been told it's a sausage party) while watching the game.
• Sunday November 23 - we host the Snowcaps. Kick-off at 1.00pm.
• Sunday November 30 - we are away to Twilighters at Burnaby Lake. Kick-off at 1.00pm
• Sunday December 7th - we host the annual "Ruck Prostate Cancer Fundraiser". We will have an Over-60 game - KO at 12.00pm - followed by an Over-40 game - KO at 1.00pm. Everyone that attends is asked to donate a bottle of wine. These will be gathered into lots and auctioned off during the festivities. We raised over $3,500 last year - let's see if we can eclipse that amount this year.
• Wednesday December 10th - it's time to throw on the Number Ones in preparation for the Christmas Dinner. As always the crew will be putting together a massive meal and there will be lots of Christmas cheer to be had. Doors open at 5.00pm with dinner around 6.30pm.
