2018 Pioneer's Night
Dear Evergreen Pioneer,
Founder’s Night is happening on Wednesday 26th September and it wouldn’t be an event without you. The Evergreen Rugby Club is approaching it’s 50th anniversary in a few years and this is our opportunity to re-commit to the founding members and pioneers of the club. This year, under the new presidency of Joel Peterson, Founder’s Night is returning to its past. It’s going to be a big celebration, a No. 1’s event, and of course an opportunity to see some guys you shared the field with. The Evergreens are touring to Argentina and Uruguay in October and many pioneers have toured there before and may have some advice for the team's current crop of players. It’s also important for the current generation to know the club’s roots.
For this reason our xxx-president Barry Magrill has embarked on writing a history of the club. He’s putting together your great stories from the past and so Founder’s Night is also a good opportunity to regale him with your best stories of Evergreen Rugby.
But wait, there’s more. We’re putting together a slide show of pictures from the past nearly 50 years of the Evergreens. So if you have some choice pictures of the Evergreens –ACTION SHOTS APPRECIATED – then please send them to Barry at barrymagrill@shaw.ca (digitized, just ask your grand kids to do it).
Details:
-Run starts at 5:00
-Social events start around 6:00
-Dinner around 7:00 with Chef Duncan Porter creating a grand spread.
-Dress is formal No.1's
In keeping with tradition, Martinis will be available.
